16th September 2007 Windsurfing: Shoreham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: Session time = 4.30-6pm Surf / Sea State: HT@2.30pm Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Overcast/drizzle Max Speed: Distance Covered: At last the first proper windy day in yonks. Surfladle first to pick up the new waveboard :) then the plan was to sail Worthing just after high tide. However Sunday traffic dodging and waveboard purchasing took longer than expected so I had to put up with Shoreham at its mid-tide choppy lumpy worst. At least it was windy - 5.2 solid power for the whole session, starting on the Freewave and then as the breeze picked up ahead of some drizzly rain changing down to the shiny new board. It was weird how it was nothing like as orgasmic as in Tenerife due to the shit conditions and I almost felt guilty for christening it today. However it still felt damn good and a couple of ramps reminded me how nicely it jumps. Gagging to get out on it in some proper waves. |
